How to Convert DVD and Video on Mac OS X

Step 1 Add source files

Under the "Convert" tab, click "Add Video" or "Add UHD/Blu-ray/DVD" to import source video or Blu-ray/DVD movies for converting respectively. You could also import video folder or Blu-ray/DVD disc by clicking the drop-down arrows next to these 2 buttons. After importing, you could play back loaded media files, select subtitles and audio tracks, add external subtitles to loaded video files, merge all files into one, move certain loaded file up or down, etc.

Note: When you load Blu-ray/DVD movies for converting, you’re provided with 3 different loading modes: Full Movie, Main Movie and Custom Mode. If you choose Full Movie, the program would load all source Blu-ray/DVD movies for converting. Main Movie mode loads the main movie (the longest title by default), while Custom Mode allows you to freely select which titles to load. You could select which subtitles and audio tracks to load in Main Movie and Custom Mode.

Step 2 Set output profile

Click the drop-down box next to the "Add Photo" button and then select "Change" option to set output format. Select one from the preset profiles.

Note: You could change video and audio parameters of output profile to meet your player or device more exactly, including: audio codec, video codec, quality, bit rate, video frame rate, video resolution, audio sample rate, etc. You could click the "Edit" option on the drop-down box next to "Add Photo" button to enter the Profile Settings panel to do these.

Step 3 Set output directory

After setting output profile, click the big green "Convert" button on the sub-menu bar. On the popup sidebar, set output directory in "Save to" box.

Step 4 Start converting

Click the "Convert" button on the sidebar to start converting. You could Cancel converting, stop one or all conversions anytime as you need.

How to Burn Video to DVD and Blu-ray

Step 1 Add source video

Open "Burn" module and then click "Add Video" button to browse and load video files for burning. After loading, set disc type (DVD-9, DVD-5, BD25 or BD50), quality and aspect ratio at the bottom.

Step 2 Set disc menu

Choose a disc menu for output Blu-ray/DVD movies on the right sidebar. By clicking the middle of selected menu, you could get instant preview of selected disc menu template. If you don’t need a disc menu, just select "No Menu" on the right sidebar.

Note: You could also design a disc menu at your own will. Click the pencil icon on the disc menu preview to enter the disc menu designer window. You’re able to add background image, background music, background video, adjust main menu and chapter titles, change text content, color, font, size, etc. You could also download more disc menu templates by clicking "Get More" option. Click "Save" button after designing.

Step 3 Burn settings

After you save the disc menu, click the green "Burn" button. You could then do more burning settings: Burn to, Disc Label, and Save to. If you want to burn video to Blu-ray/DVD disc, you need beforehand insert a blank writable Blu-ray/DVD disc into the Blu-ray/DVD drive, then choose disc drive in Burn to.

Step 4 Start burning

Finally, click the "Burn" button at the bottom of the popup sidebar to start burning videos to Blu-ray/DVD.


How to Burn ISO to DVD and Blu-ray

Step 1 Add video files

Insert a blank writable disc into disc drive. Under the "Burn" module of Prof. Media, set disc quality and aspect ratio at the bottom. Then, click the inverted arrow drop-down button next to the "Add Video" button and then select "Add iso file" option to browse and load ISO file from your computer.

Step 2 Burn settings

After loading source ISO file, there would pop up an "Add iso file" window, on which you need to set Copy to and Disc Label options. Select disc drive for Copy to option and set Disc Label anything you like.

Step 3 Start ISO to disc burning

Click the "Burn" button on the "Add iso file" to start ISO to disc burning.

How to Backup DVD and Blu-ray

Step 1 Add 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray/DVD

Under the "Copy" module, click "Add uhd/Blu-ray/DVD" button to import source Blu-ray/DVD disc or folder for backup. Insert disc into the drive beforehand if you want to backup disc. After loading source movie, select copy mode from "Full Movie", "Main Movie" and "Custom Mode". Set output disc type at the bottom. You could play back selected titles.

Note: Full Movie mode could copy the whole source file, Main Movie copies the longest title (generally the main movie), and Custom Mode copies titles you select. Under Main Movie and Custom Mode, you could select subtitles and audio tracks.

Step 2 Copy settings

Click the green "Copy" button. On the right sidebar, set "Copy to", "Disc Label" and "Save to". If you want to copy to disc, you need insert a blank writable disc into the disc drive and then select the disc drive as target "Copy to" option.

Step 3 Start copying

Click the bottom "Copy" button on the right sidebar to start copying Blu-ray/DVD movies onto computer or blank disc.


How to Copy ISO files to disc

Step 1 Add ISO file

To directly copy ISO file onto a blank disc, you need to insert your blank writable disc into the disc drive ahead. Then, on the "Copy" module, click the inverted arrow drop-down box to select "Add iso file". The program would lead you to load source ISO file from your computer.

Step 2 Copy settings

After you load source ISO file, you could see an "Add iso file" window pop up. Set the "Copy to" option to disc drive and input your own Disc Label. After that, click the "Burn" button to start copying ISO file to disc directly.

How to Download Online Videos

Step 1 Set download path

On the program menu bar, click "Leawo Prof. Media > Preferences" option to call out the "Settings" panel. Then, open the "Download" tab to set download path in the "Save videos to" option.

Step 2 Add video URL

Open the "Download" module. Copy video URL from your browser and input it to the browser address bar of this program. After inputting the video URL, click the "Enter" key on the keyboard or click the button right next to the browser address bar. The program would then detect target videos for downloading.

Step 3 Start downloading

All detected videos would be displayed in different quality. You could choose one with the right video resolution and then click the download icon to start downloading. The downloading progress could be previewed under the "Downloading" panel.

Step 4 After-download options

Under the "Downloaded" panel, you could view all videos downloaded. Also, by checking a downloaded video and right-clicking it, you could choose to "Add to Convert", "Add to Burn", etc.

Photo Slideshow Maker

Step 1 Add source photos

Under the "Convert" tab, click "Add Photo" button to browse photos you want to generate into slideshow, or click the inverted triangle arrow next to the "Add Photo" button and then select "Add Photo Folder" option to import photo folder. Imported photos would be generated into photo slideshow upon loading automatically.

Step 2 Set output format

Click the drop-down box right before the big green "Convert" button and then hit "Change" option. On the popup Profile window, select a suitable profile as output format.

Note: After setting output format, if you like, you could re-open the drop-down box and then select "Edit" button to enter a Profile Settings window, where you could adjust video and audio parameters, like Video Codec, Quality, Audio Codec, Bit Rate, Aspect Ratio, Frame Rate, Sample Rate, etc. You could save adjusted profile into "Custom" group by clicking the "Save to Custom" button. Click "OK" button to return to the main interface.

Step 3 Set output directory

Click the big green "Convert" button and then set output directory in the "Save to" box on the popup sidebar. After that, click the bottom "Convert" button to start converting generated photo slideshow to the format you want.


Photo Slideshow Burner

Step 1 Add source photos

Under the "Burn" tab, click the "Add Photo" button to import source photos. Selected photos would be generated into slideshow. You could then play back and edit created photo slideshow.

Step 2 Set disc menu

Select a disc menu for generated photo slideshow to Blu-ray/DVD burning on the right sidebar. There're various menu templates for you to choose from. You could click the middle of menu template to get an instant preview.

Note: The internal disc menu designer allows you to design disc menu by adding background music/image/video, changing title content (via double-click) and position (via direct drag-and-drop), adjusting text color, font and size (via right-click), etc. Click the "Save" button to save design work.

Step 3 Related burning settings

Click the big green "Burn" button to do more burning settings, including: Burn to, Disc Label and Save to. If you want to burn photo slideshow to disc, you need to insert a blank and writable disc into disc drive and then select it under "Burn to" option.

Step 4 Burn photo slideshow to Blu-ray/DVD

Click the bottom "Burn" button to start photo slideshow to Blu-ray/DVD burning.


Edit photo slideshow

Edit photo slideshow video

After generating photos into slideshow, you're able to edit the generated photo slideshow by clicking the "Edit" icon or right-clicking the generated phot slideshow and then selecting "Edit" option. In the "Video" tab, you could add extra photo, remove photo, rotate photo, set output effect, etc.

Edit photo slideshow audio

In the "Audio" tab, you're able to add background music and set output audio effect.

How to Edit Video

Under "Convert" and "Burn" modules, you could edit media files via internal video editor. After adding source media files, you could check a loaded media file, right click it and then select "Edit" option to enter the media editing panel.

Trim

Click the "Trim" tab, drag the twin limiters on the playbar, or set Start Time and End Time for video trimming. This would help you convert only video clips you want. Click "OK" to save the trimming results.

Watermark

Click the "Watermark" section, slide "Watermark" to green, then you could choose to add text watermark or image watermark. You could also custom watermark parameters like text font, color, size, content, transparency, position, etc.

Crop

Click the "Crop" section, select a Zoom way, drag the dot frame box on the left Original Preview panel, or set the Left and Top values to get unwanted black margins cropped. You could also rotate videos here by making use of the buttons before the volume bar adjuster.

Effect

Change video effect by adjusting Brightness, Saturation, Contrast and VolumeZoom under "Effect" section.

Perform specific 3D settings

On the editing panel, open "3D" section and slide "3D Mode" to green. Then you could select a 3D effect for applying and adjust 3D Depth for more vivid 3D movie watching.

Remove Noise

When converting video file, you can see “Remove Noise” tab. It allows you to remove noise from video to get better audio quality. Just switch on “Remove Noise” option.

Create Chapter

When burning video to Blu-ray disc, you can see an extra tab “Create Chapter”. You can create and insert multiple chapters into video by setting chapters’ number or chapter length. Certainly, you can insert chapter manually.
