Clash of the Titans 2: Wrath of the Titans first official trailer released with 5 movie posters

The Warner Bros studio and Legendary Studio have just released the first official trailer and 5 movie posters for the upcoming 3D movie Clash of the Titans 2: Wrath of the Titans. The film stars Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson, Danny Huston, Édgar Ramírez, Bill Nighy, Toby Kebbell and Rosamund Pike with Jonathan Liebesman as director, who directed the movie Battle: Los Angeles. The film is scheduled for a March 30, 2012 release in 3D and IMAX 3D.

Plot introduction:

A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year-old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.

Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’s godly son, Ares (Édgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’s remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Agenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

Walt Disney Picture released John Carter teaser trailer and pictures

John Carter is a 2012 American science fiction action adventure film about John Carter, the lead character in Edgar Rice Burroughs‘ 11-volume Barsoom series. And next year, 2012, would be the 100^th anniversary of John Carter. Walt Disney Picture recomposed it and filmed it to be a science fiction epic movie with the same name – John Carter, which would be going to theatrical released on March 9^th of 2012 in the United States as scheduled. The filming work of John Carter has been started in November 2009 by Walt Disney Picture and several days ago, Disney released the teaser trailer.

Edgar Rice Burroughs is also the author of Tarzan of the Apes. John Carter of Mars was a serial novel on a magazine. The novel tells the story of an American Civil War veteran, John Carter, is transplanted to Mars (Barsoom) and discovers a diverse planet whose inhabitants include 12-foot tall green barbarians. Along his journey he meets Tars Tarkas and rescues a humanoid Red Martian princess, Dejah Thoris, from the belligerent four-armed Green Martians, whose respect he gains for his superior strength and fighting ability. He enlists the Green Martians’ assistance in winning a civil war, and saves Mars from destruction when its atmosphere plant malfunctions.

John Carter is the first live-action film of director Andrew Stanton, with Taylor Kitsch starring John Carter and Lynn Collins starring the Princess of Mars, Dejah Thoris, who falls in love with Carter gradually. The cast list includes other famous actors/actresses: Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Dminic West, James Purefoy, Thomas Hayden Church, Willem Dafoe, etc.
